In comparison to other New Zealand mayors, the Mayor of Auckland Council has enhanced responsibilities including appointing the deputy mayor, establishing the committees of the governing body of Auckland Council and appointing the chairperson of each of these committees. | 10 |
| 2. Albany Ward Council candidates | There are 2 Council positions available. The Albany Ward goes from Whenuapai and Paremoremo in the West, and from Campbells Bay up to Waiwera on the East Coast. The Council will focus on the big picture and on region wide strategic decisions. | 15 |
