Independent

Currently surviving as deputy chair of the Albany Community Board I bring to the bring to the table a broad range of skills that include the ability to listen and work with communities to get thing done

Before moving to Paremoremo my wife and I lived in Greenhithe and now make regular visits to friends, play sports, access our boat moored in the creek  and normally relaxing with a drink before making our way home. As a board member I have lent my support to the play centre, tennis club, removal of Pine trees close to houses or the water’s edge where if left they fall over and erode the banks plus I have lobbied for safe access to the water for all and although I support the Rame Rd boat ramp upgrade believe its uses are limited and car and trailer parking will be stretched until we build more facilities elsewhere to service the upper harbour and of  course helping to resolve the saga of the speed restrictions on Greenhithe Rd.

I see keeping the green in the “upper harbour” as a priority with Greenhithe, Whenuapai and Paremoremo communities as the guardians of the upper harbours urban and semirural environments and will work with these communities developing connections so their voice is heard

  • Further Development of the park and ride carpark and development of the link bus services
  • Development of leisure/swimming facilities to meet demands of Auckland’s fastest growing communities
  • Safe Access and restoration of our waterways and parks and open spaces

Today we  shape the future of Auckland creating the environment for family and businesses to grow. by set in place the building blocks that will connect this city and removing the obstacles set in place by successive councils that have failed to deliver the basics, such as adequate car parking or bus services to our transport hubs, Safe Access to our waterways and the provision community facilities in Auckland’s fastest growing centre and to do this we need a strong Albany and Upper Harbour board that communicates listens and acts and I want to be part of a board that brings  life to our open spaces, playing fields, parks and beaches alike and is ready to restore our rivers and creeks so they too can be enjoyed now and by future generations. As we create a better and prosperous Auckland
