Hints

We asked candidates four questions:

  1. What experience do you bring to the role that you seek?
  2. What involvement have you had in the past with Greenhithe or local community?
  3. Greenhithe Residents are passionate about ‘Keeping the Green in Greenhithe' and developing an overall Village Plan. What do you see that you can do to help us achieve this goal?
  4. List your top 3 personal priorities for the Mayoralty/Albany Ward and/or Upper Harbour Local Board area?

Ian BRADLEY

I stand as a true independent with no commitment other than to serve the ratepayer.

I have served as a Devonport Borough Councillor, a member of the Auckland Regional Authority, and a member of the Auckland Regional Council. So I have been there and done that! During my term on the ARC I was elected as Chair of Strategic Policy which involved some tough decisions. Thanks to those Auckland has not come to a complete standstill, yet.

I have lived in Paremoremo, across the water from Greenhithe, for over 20 years. Planning has destroyed the character of much of Albany, I dont want it to happen to Greenhithe.

I am a good advocate. Convince me that your idea is sound and I will fight for it as I have done so many times in the past.

1. To make people feel they can influence what happens to their communities.

2. To continue to try to solve our transport problems.

3. To preserve the character of the local communities that will make up the big city.
