STANDING UP FOR AUCKLAND

I graduated in 1996 from the University of Auckland with First Class Honours in Political Studies and I have never belonged to a political party. As part of my Masters degreee I learned how the European Communities function and I know that oversight of the 'super-city' will require  a high level of intellectual ability.

From 1998 - 2001 I chaired my local school board at a difficult time, putting into practice my facilitative style and realising that my personality and values as well as my qualifications have made me an ideal leader.

As an old Aucklander I know this city well. I remember returning to find the city had crept out to Greenhithe; seeing houses where there had been only trees.

Any plans to promote environmental and community health will get my attention.
