1. Mayoral Candidates
The mayor is the head of the governing body of Auckland Council, providing leadership to other elected members and the organisation. In comparison to other New Zealand mayors, the Mayor of Auckland Council has enhanced responsibilities including appointing the deputy mayor, establishing the committees of the governing body of Auckland Council and appointing the chairperson of each of these committees.

Ensuring every thing is done to have the Local Boards consulting residents, getting them involved in dreaming about their neighbourhood during the first year. My policy includes starting to meet with the Local Board members during the second week after swearing in. Placing as many projects and policies from the Local Boards into my spatial plan to be presented to Council for approval and to have as many as possible Local Board projects included in the Year two Plan as possible so they have time to be completed. There is only a two year period to action the projects. Having a meeting in the North Shore area every year to promote contact with local people and to keep them informed of regional matters. We have a real chance of making Auckland great for Aucklanders if we do it all together. We can, with this new super city governance, the following policies an if the Local Boards fulfill their role. |

No slogan or Political Party. But if I were to have a slogan, it would be along the lines of, "I won't screw you over like scumbag politicians".

Forget what I think What are your 3 personal priorities for the local area? It's irrelevant what I think. I'll just listen to the community, and act on what they say. So email me your priorities.
