Community Constable Nov 09
This month there is so much to write about I do not know where to start really.
Starting with the worst incidents which happened on Saturday night 20/11/09 onto Sunday morning 21/11/09. I have had 3 burglaries reported and 3 theft ex-cars. 5 of these incidents happened in Rame Rd and 1 in Almond Grove. Did anyone see anything suspicious????? Please think and report... Any information will be treated confidentially. Some of the houses were along long driveways so don't think you are safe living quite far from the road....And if there are any more incidents that have not been reported I urge you to do so.
I keep on hammering on and on about the following but it is very important to get your cars fingerprinted after an incident!!!!!!!.And keep on noting any rego's from suspicious cars, phone 477500 or 111!!!! If you drive home late at night and their are cars on your road, maybe just take a notepad and write down any numbers of numberplates or descriptions of people walking the roads.
Another problem brought to my attention is the
roundabout from Tauhinu Overbridge going to SH18 onramp. Several
motorist have been seen undertaking the roundabout driving straight onto the
onramp. This is dangerous practice and has been brought to the Traffic
Departments attention.
Rego's checked come back to residents of Greenhithe so be warned.
Traffic units have been vigilant on Greenhithe Rd and Orwell Rd and a lot of drivers are still being fined for speeding. Some residents insists on verbally abusing the officers when they get tickets but remember you have only yourself to blame!!
Most people by now might have heard about 0800 555 111 CRIMESTOPPERS. This is a strictly confidential Crime-Line if you have any information relating to any criminal activity or persons of
interest. The phone line goes through to the UK and any important
urgent business will be referred to the Police in NZ immediately but no phone numbers/names are
recorded. Any useful information will be investigated on its own merits
by Police in NZ.
FOUND: Thursday morning by a person walking their dog; A
black wallet with an image on the front. Please contact me if this
belongs to you.
On a good note: In relation to the boat burglaries of 2
boats out on the moorings in Greenhithe. Some youth offenders coming
from the Kumeu have been arrested and most of the stolen goods have
been returned to their rightful owners.
Keep safe
