A few things of note that have happened this month: 

1. In recent times I have had a few reports of mail not arriving in the Pounamu Avenue area. Please keep an eye open for any suspicious behaviour around postboxes. 
2. A car was broken into whilst on their property behind a closed (but not locked) gate, also in Pounamu Avenue. Please lock your car even if it is on your property. And I should not really have to say that  items like wallets, etc should not be left in it either. 
3. Several people have come to me to vent their annoyance re the stop sign coming off the motorway and people not stopping, especially turning right onto Greenhithe Rd. It is not a give way for a reason, namely very bad visibility re traffic coming from your right. It is an intersection that will be getting a lot of attention in the near future. It literally takes a few seconds longer to get across the intersection. Is that really worth becoming involved in a crash or worth still, losing your or a loved ones life over? And the fine is $150.00 which surely can be used for a better purpose. 
4. Seatbelts: still too many people "just popping over to the shops" not wearing them. $150.00 is the fine and remember that a lot of crashes happen close to home.
