Classifieds and Discussions live on the Greenhithe Web Site
Web site users can now post or browse classifieds for free, and discuss items of local or general interest.
The Classifieds are the modern replacement for the Village Noticeboard, allowing anyone to place free ads at any time, without having to worry about little pieces of paper and tear-off strips. There are certain things that are just best to buy from or sell to locals, especially services (think dog-walking, babysitting...), large items (ever tried to send a big item to someone in Invercargill that you sold on TradeMe?), and high-value items (ever bought something on TradeMe that looked bigger or nicer than it really was?).
Advertisers need to log in to place ads, but their prospective customers can view any ad without logging in.
The Discussion forums can be used by anyone. At this stage all but the Businesses forum are open to logged in and anonymous users.
