Wainoni Park....No Dogs!

Did you know dogs are now not allowed over Wainoni Park?
There is a sign by the changing rooms, tho' when I rang North Shore City offices this morning, (October 16th) the lady knew nothing about it and said that nothing had changed!
Obviously I understand that dogs should be under control, kept away from the playground areas and their deposits picked up but isn't this going a bit too far?

I'd say ignore it. They didn't ask anyone in Greenhithe if dogs should be disallowed so putting a sign up in in breach of the local government act, which requires consultation with the community.

Excellent - might stop the abundance of dog shit in the park! Maybe if dog owners picked up their dogs crap, and kept their dogs on a lead at all times, then they would be allowed.. Too many selfish dog owners in Greenhithe, who think everyone else should love and put up with their dog too!
