Greenhithe Dog Poo

Posted by Anonymous at February 26. 2010
I am a dog owner in Greenhithe and pick up my dogs poo religiously, but when walking with friends from overseas and after going on and on to them about how beautiful the park was, how embarrassed was I when I counted over 30 dog poos, call me sad but it is really annoying and disgusting, why cant people be bothered to pick it up. I must say that the poos were small so they may have come from smaller dogs..... There is a plastic bags cage thing for dog owners on Roland Roads Park, where people put carrier bags in it regularly. Do you think some should be installed at all entrances to Wainoni Park as it would appear a carrier bag is far to heavy for some people to carry???? Also it would be a good idea to have some dog poo bins so that the poo bags are kept separate to normal waste, nothing worse than trying to throw away some rubbish and it is full of dog faeces...... Lets try and keep our Wainoni Park clean guys!!!!!!

It's not just Wainoni Park, it's EVERYWHERE.. Just take a quick stroll down the road, and you will count several on your way.. It's absolutely disgusting.. Just going to and from the school to drop the kids off, my kids are having to avoid it all the time on the grass, and this morning, even on the footpath.. My son even commented that you can't wear barefeet, incase you stand in dog poo! How sad that our kids can't even walk barefoot because of some arrogant pricks, who have absolutely no respect for their surroundings.. I think it is high time we started getting tough - call the council/animal control as soon as you see dogs wondering, bail people up if you see them allowing their dog to poo without picking it up.. I wish we could issue instant fines on behalf of the council; that might deter them..

Yes. The attack of these disgusting and arrogant dog owners once again and always.

The plastic bag options are a good idea but then that comes down to the individual to use them. Which is probably hard for the most around these ways.

Sorta smells and looks like Otahuhu in the park these days.

If you see someones dog going for a major dump and the dog owner doesn't pick it up, be it worth taking 10mins off your day to tail that person and find out where they live and call North Shore dog control - so they can get a nasty fine to sort their life out.

Then there is always the 'abuse them' option which also sometimes works. Especially if there are a number of people around then you make them feel like a git and everyone gets to see who they are.

One of the big problems is the wandering dogs just cruising around doing what they want, hence dog poo's everywhere. Stupid dog owners that are letting their dogs out on the streets need a kick in the arse you muppets.

Good to see Animal Control coming in quite alot lately people have finally begun using them to sort out the arrogants.

If I see people's dogs doing what they ain't supposed to........I nark. Been effective so far!!!!

Suckers.

On the 'abuse them' option.

Give it a go if there are people around, its funny to see the stupid poncy's get all embarrassed when everyone looks at them while your yelling at them. It must be really hard to be all up yourself and get nailed in public or something.

Idiots.
