We have a public walkway adjacent our property which doesn't have a proper track (mud/dirt); it's a bush track.. Anyway, at least once every 2-3 months 2 people (god knows why it takes 2 people) go down the track with a leaf blower! I mean, hello? What is the point really? Now to make it worse, they did it last Thursday, and did it again today! Remember, it's a muddy BUSH track, so as soon as they do it it will be covered in leaves again anyway. Funny how when I asked if the council could spray the noxious weeds on the same said track they said they didn't have enough in the budget for it...
Dear Anon - send a note to info@greenhithe.org.nz listing any sillinesses and the Ratepayers Assoc can write to Council and ask to reprioritise what contractors do. It's often as simple as that. If you just call Actionline they won't have any authority to take on board what you suggest, but the Committee (through our council and community board reps) typically know who to talk to.
