Any Ideas On Constuctive Activities For The Teens In Greenhithe?

Posted by Gertrude Doll at May 03. 2007

Tenagers are social creatures, they are creating friendships that will last a life time. They are learning how to network, problem solve and deal with conflict.

What can we give them in Greenhithe to encourage and embrace their individuality but at the same time with set boundaries?

Please, NO hoon bashing!

Constructive comments only.

Well, I think the skate park is a good idea, with plenty of surrounding seats & rubbish bins.  Probably best location would be in Collins Park somewhere..

Looking at things already available in our community, how about Scouts/Venturers (or Girl Guides), Fusion Youth. Sport is always a great outlet; a number of teenagers are very involved in Tennis and Soccer.

Whatever, it will involve parental / community involvement and support.

A regular activity organised on a Sat or Fri night. Pool competition, held in the hall? Might take some planning, organising and controlling.

I think the skate park is a good idea. But it has been talked about for years.
