I am getting really sick and tired of the amount of dog owners in Greenhithe that seem to think it is acceptable that your dogs can roam free, crap where they like etc. PLEASE KEEP YOUR DOG CONTAINED TO YOUR OWN PROPERTY and clean up their crap after them. I took my children to Collins Park a week or so ago, and we had to leave due to the amount of dog poo on the field; the kids couldn't just 'run around' otherwise they would have no doubt stood in it.. I also have two large deposits beside my letterbox for me to have to avoid every morning..

Today is the FOURTH time in approx 3 weeks I have had to call Dog Control to come and collect a wandering dog from my property (3 being the same dog!!)..

The dogs enter MY property (obviously inadequately contained to their own), eat my cat food, scare my cats and poo on my property.

PLEASE dog owners, BE RESPONSIBLE and keep your dog contained!! I am half considering removing their collars and dumping them in Albany next time....

How about a desciption of the dogs and rough location posted here to shame the owners into getting their act together! but please remember that it is the owners fault more than the dogs so don't be doing anything that could lead to the animal being harmed.

OK, well I live on Tauhinu; the dog that I have called the Dog Control 3x is a dark brown labrador. Not sure where his owners live but I think the ranger said somewhere over the back (possibly Pounamu or Oakford).. The latest one is a dark brown pointer and the ranger said he comes from Marae Rd..Not sure what dogs have been crapping by my letterbox, or in the parks tho.. There is also a dog down Rahui Rd which regularly wanders.
