A man calling himself 'Simon' came around on Thursday punting 'Karate' lessons in Greenhithe. He said he would come around later with brochures as he had run out but never returned...Does anyone know if this is genuine or was this some form of con?

It is not a con. Why would you think it is a con?
Sensei Simon is a nice genuine guy and runs the GKR karate class on Sunday mornings at Hobsonville school. The one on the right along Hobby Rd.
I think they were just letting people know of the Karate class at The Village Hall on Mondays and Fridays to bump up the numbers a bit.
Certainly no con at all. I would recommend it.
