WHY wont people slow down in Greenhithe???!!!

Posted by Anonymous at July 04. 2008
ESPECIALLY around the school at morning/afternoon times?? I parked on Greenhithe Rd this morning and used the school crossing there, which I usually don't.. I could NOT believe the amount of cars coming up Greenhithe Rd towards the school crossing coming at speed; yes, more than 50k.. to make it worse, there was WICKED sunglare up the road so there was NO way of seeing!!! and no, they WERE NOT 'young hoons' but older people! Shame on you who did it!! Next time I will be noting your regos!!

People wont slow down because they have no respect for the other residents of Greenhithe, as long as nobdy speeds in their street they just dont give a shit.
Its not hard to find speeding drivers, cars not stopping at stop signs & probably the worst are the idiots who have to overtake other vehicles on Greenhithe Road after exiting the motorway, exceeding the 70 kph limit by considerable amounts to get ahead before the roundabout.

Not just speeding drivers - anyone tried to get up Isobel Rd in the morning - cannot believe the appalling behaviour of parents dropping their kids at school - stopping in middle of road, taking over most of the road so you can't pass, letting their kids out on the drivers side not the footpath side etc etc etc. It's a wonder there's not accidents or injuries. Could not believe what I was seeing. It is as if once they get near the school they develop blinkers to everyone else on the road!
