build a skatepark in greenhithe!

i think a skatepark would be a fantastic way to keep the teens off the street and out of trouble

What makes you think that? Sounds like just another convenient place to deal drugs as observed in places like Browns Bay, right under the noses of everyone in broad daylight. Why would a skatepark restore discipline and decency to teens that get little guidance from either home or school?

a skate park would be great for the tweenies but really what right minded teenager would want to hang out at a skate park at 2 in the morning...there are far more interesting things to do with lighters and rubber in cars....

too true. b4 i finishd my med exams i did a bit of construction i'll have you know.we built a fantastic skatepark at stanmore bay .it was a big opening event etc etc ,well lit and in an open space etc. well within six months there was serious discussion about completely removing it due to the trouble that came with it,graffiti, drugs, sex people trying to burn it down and so on.as a consequence the police have to regularly patrol it(at what expense).aside from these endemic problems that seem to be borne of skateparks, they are a rotten eyesore at the best of times.and no they werent thinkin of removing it because i built it.it still stands today after six or seven years hard use.
