Hey,
Fairly new into the greenhithe area and shocked to see that you've got to go out and buy special rubbish bags to throw your rubbish out in! Anyways, I've seen some people around with actual wheelie bins which seems the better way.
I've had a look on yellow pages but can't find any info as to how to get one of these bins and when it's emptied.
Could anyone on here that has one let me know the details.

i get my wheelie bin from enviro waste 0800 240 120

You must be new to the North Shore; the rubbish bags are not just for Greenhithe, they are North Shore City council Rubbish Bags.. You can also buy NSCC rubbish stickers, which you can stick onto the black rubbish bags if you wish.. I think Enviro Waste is now owned by Waste Management? (don't quote me on that)..

i can't remember i paid one year up front - you can do it weekly, fortnightly or monthly installments if you want however.
the one i have holds 5 rubbish bags approx and i get it emptied weekly. They come around same day as council rubbish days - so in our case every thursday - if it's not full dont put it out.
word of warning - don't put hot ashes in plastic rubbish bins - not a pretty sight - amazing what a yellow melted rubbish bin looks after it's caught fire.
but we have been blessed with a new one! $80 thank you very much!
