What shops are going in the new Greenhithe shopping complex?
Anyone know what shops we will be getting in the new shopping complex? I heard rumours that the developers were having trouble getting tenants. Perhaps if we indicate what shops we would support, then the propective new businesses will have a bit more confidence.
My votes would be for:
1. Pharmacy
2. DVD rental (franchise or independent)
3. Butcher combined with deli (something like Stubbs butchery in Matakana)
I am very happy with our existing dairy, bakery and coffee options.

The dairy and bottle store are going to combine and be bigger (hopefully with lotto!!).. Pretty sure there is going to be a chemist (although, don't really see the need when we get free deliveries here in Greenhithe from Paul's Chemist)... I think a video store too and would love a good cafe. Not sure what else we really 'need' here in the 'Hithe, or what would be able to survive in a 'cut off' suburb..

Paul's delivery service is good for prescriptions if you don't mind waiting until 6-7pm at night. But would love a pharmacy with all the over the counter remedies and being able to get your prescriptions immediately - especially good for kids.

Paul doesn't just do prescriptions; you can get anything as you get from any other pharmacy/chemist (hair dye even...)... Yeah, you might have to wait till 6 'at night', but hey, unless it is urgent, why not? better than having to drive off out of the 'Hithe to go get it.. Can't beat delivery to your door...

Hey I think we are not fully services with a useful cafe.
Beans seem s like its always closed , I would like a friendly warm cafe, cheap menu perhaps a bit of character to it. The old professionals building would be a nice position.
The backery is I have to say one of the worst I have seen in Auckland. They always run out of food , hours are close at like 2pm. and they have huge prices , small veraity and the lady always seems angry.
A stationary / Computer consumables also could be cool.
A Vege shop also as dairy needs a bit of competition.
Dvds are about to all go out with web.
A hammer hardware store would be rad,
