Footpaths to nowhere...

I live on Upper Harbour Drive and find it so annoying that there are "SEVERAL" footpaths to nowhere. The first ending at Shelter drive. The second, between Shelter drive and Tauhinu - where the council have obviously made a developer concrete, and the last being the start of a brand new footpath extending over Tauhinu. I realise it's a tricky place to footpath with the barriers, but so annoying having to push the pram through the overgrown grass and gorse, and run on and off the road. 20 years ago my inlaws had to put deposit money to the council for the development of the footpath. 20 years later their grandkids are getting an offroad experience in the pram. Does anyone else find this annoying?

No. And usually (I believe), the developer actually has to do the footpaths themselves (on their development).. Your inlaws probably paid their 'development contribution' where it doesn't actually specify where the money goes (I'm sure the council didn't specify it was going towards a specific footpath??)..
