Greenhithe now has very fast broadband. Check out http://telecomwholesale.co.nz/maps for the ADSL2+ (up to 25Mbps) and even some VDSL (Broadband now twice as fast if you can get it).
Service provided by Telecom Wholesale so available on Telecom and other resellers of Telecom services.
You will need the right modem for the services and you should be sweet.

Most of us have been able to get ADSL2+ for a few years now (I can get 19Mbps if I tweak my router a bit). Looking forward to VDSL2 (from Dec it says!)
I live about 1km as the crow flies from the GNH exchange.

Yep. Had ADSL2+ since I've been in Greenhithe, enjoying my 20Mbps connection as I live right on top of the exchange 
Although, a bit annoyed that Telecom dropped the BigTime plan. Been considering the uncapped plan from Slingshot, but there's tons of complaints from users... So stuck on 40GB plan for the time being!

Lucky you both. 40GB plan is awesome as goes fast all the time unlike big time which didn't.
Point of post is that the new fibre cabinets are in place so people more than 1km from Exchange who couldn't go fast can now do so. There was much comment before this happenned and hopefully they will take advantage of the upgrades...
