We have lived in Greenhithe for the past 7 years and have watched two older chaps, very obviously brothers who walked the streets during the day together for exercise, complete with floppy hats. But for the last 6 months we have seen just the one chap by himself and was wondering where the other fellow has gone?

I thought exactly the same thing the other day. I know they live down Churchouse. Hope he is still around.

Some years ago, I met these two chaps at a neighbour's place. They are indeed brothers, In fact they are twins. We often met for dinner on Christmas Day. Enquiries indicate that one of them has been ill for some time, and no longer joins his twin brother on his walk around Greenhithe.
The same enquiries indicate that these two brothers have lived in Greenhithe from at least 1951, - some 60 yrs.
One of you indicates that you know that they live in Churchouse Road.
Might I suggest that you make yourself/selves known to them and perhaps learn a bit more about the history of Greenhithe, then publish it here for all to be aware of and add to local history records?
