OK, so we all know WAAG has been gifted $20 from Ak Int. Airport (or should I say, the people who run it).. What I would like to know is WHERE this money is going?! It also costs $20 to become a member of WAAG (I'm pretty sure it was $30 until recently); whilst I'm not sure how many members WAAG has, this is quite a substantial amount of money going into WAAG... I would be interested to know where WAAG's money is going (surely the flyers etc they put around the place doesn't cost this much?!)...

Big costs associated with fighting beaurocracy. All it takes is one trip to Wellington to lobby Minister X and the coffers are bare. In addition, an environment court hearing (likely) will cost squillions

I'm sure as the WAAG is a non profit org, they are required to be audited once a year and if something dodgy was going on then a few punters would be up for a big skate and also risk the whole shooting match of what WAAG is trying to do. As I see it we have one chance to stop this silly action of a Airport on the Northshore and the fact that WAAG has set up this action group to lead the way, well good on them.
