162 KYLE RD SUBDIVISION INFO!

Sunday, 28 November , 2010 1:19:38 PM

Dear Neighbors,

Just a quick note to let you know that the application has been received by council and will be notified next week. If it is notified on Monday, Nov 29th the end of the submission period will be January 14th, 2011. I have most of the applications documents as attachments available to forward, simply reply to this email and I will forward them to you.  Council has decided that since it is publicly notified they will only forward hard copies to some residents on Pitoitoi Ave who will be directly affected and Friends of Lucas Creek: the rest of us will be able to get them from council offices, the library or online from me.

The application still involves the felling of over 1,300 trees and leave only 29 japanese cedar trees (conifers) on the Pitoitoi Ave boundary, the filling in of one of the tributaries to Te Wharau creek, and the sole entrance to the subdivision from Admirals Court. The plan is for minimum sized sections for 52 houses with a riparian margin along Te Wharau Creek and riparian margins on private property for the sections along the other tributary of Te Wharau creek. A Bridge will be built to span that tributary and provide access to the sections along the boundary of Upper Harbour Primary School.

As a community, we are fortunate in that we are being given the opportunity to have our say through the submission process.  I found the process to be simple and straightforward and it consumed only a minor amount of my time.  There is an option of making a submission online as well as written.  This is your only chance to air your concerns regarding the impact the development will have on our neighborhood, Te Wharau and Lucas Creeks and local flora and fauna.  Please reply with your thoughts about what is important to you and I will endeavor to facilitate our efforts in any way I can.

Best regards,

Jinni Easterday

29 Pitoitoi Ave
