Fireworks Plea

A plea to all Greenhithe residents but especially those in the vicinity of the pony club to please not let off fireworks from home or from Wainoni park.
Last night there were fireworks set off and a herd of horses were spooked, this resulted in one horse sustaining an injury which meant he had to be euthanized this morning. Obviously his owner was devastated.
Horses are easily spooked by the unusual sounds and bangs made by fireworks and with their hearing being a lot more sensitive than ours it is not just the houses immediately surrounding the club that have an effect but all in the general area around the club grounds.
If you could all pass this message around it would be greatly appreciated as we are very concerned about the upcoming weekend.

Happy too if you could pass on the message to the horse owners to clean up the poo they continue to leave along Kyle Road! Thanks.
