Localist and YellowLocal

Has anyone looked at Localist http://www.localist.co.nz/albany or YellowLocal http://auckland.yellowlocal.co.nz/greenhithe/ and have an opinion about what is or isn't useful from your perspective? Does anything about them replace features or content on the greenhithe.org.nz site?
I can't for example imagine them tolerating some of the discussions on this site, or providing free web pages like http://www.greenhithe.org.nz/portal/sports/spin-class

Have looked at both sites. Don't believe that they offer any advantage over our local site. They both carry material that I consider to be superfluous. Too much graphics oriented material. Just increases and wastes bandwidth that users must pay for.
