Getting involved - assistance required
Up to Greenhithe Skatepark
We have a subcommittee on the ratepayers assoc to get some movement on a skatepark, or 'teenpark' as I'd prefer to call it. I don't want to be limited by just a skate park. Perhaps MTB, basketball hoops, etc.
Anyway, it isn't going to happen unless people volunteer to be part of the team to organise something.
It needs:
- A location
- Funding
- Council involvement
- Community support
If you are willing to get involved, email teenpark@greenhithe.org.nz
Cheers,
Barry

So apart from criticism, what are you willing to contribute to the effort? If anything is to happen then you'll need to step up, otherwise I'm just going to close down the subcommittee due to lack of interest.

There are not enough basketball hoops that are public they are all privately owned in households so you cant use them. I would be willing to come up with ideas sketches etc.. any skatepark that is about as good as the one in browns bay will fit the bill nicely. have a basketball court next to it or something as well.
