So where CAN the kids skate?!
Notice in the school newsletter this week about kids skating at the school, and the damage being caused to the wooden ramps/rails etc.. These kids NEED somewhere to skate where they can't cause damage (ie. a skate park). I think it's brilliant these kids are out getting fresh air and exercise. Lets get this skate park thing moving and give our kids something to do! Maybe include a basketball court, some ramps for bikes and call it a youth park?

Totally agree with you, kids need to be kids and getting out there playing is fantastic. Give them a skatepark, you will know where they are instead of roaming the street and getting on residents nerves with their skateboards, my son would love one. How about putting it on the Kyle Road developement....

Just a wild stab in the dark, but my guess is, you don't live on the "Kyle Road development"?
Re: So where CAN the kids skate?!
i agree with you both and thank you for your support!!
i idealy think collins park would be perfect for it being close to the shops and all
plus being able to see whats goin on from the main road..

Re: So where CAN the kids skate?!
Exactly! The school has been there for (no doubt) longer than anyone living around it!! In saying that, the school does have signs saying no skateboarding etc, and it's also locked after hours... The school has also said no skateboarding on school grounds (as they are damaging the wooden ramps/rails etc)....
