A word from our Community Constable
Up to Greenhithe Skatepark
The idea is to set up a committee. At present I am talking to the council
in regards to a possible site for the skate park to go. (won't cost
anything). We still have to talk to other official & local councils
regarding some funding. There is a way of putting the whole thing into a
plan for the council to fund the park 100% but as the council works in 3
year "waves" for plans we could not put it through the council until 2009
(which is really not too far away). The other option is fundraising. We are
in the beginning stages and a lot of ground has to be covered.
Anyone who wants to be in the committee or can help in anyway (due to
fundraising experience for instance) please email me.
I will be on leave until the end of August so don't expect a reply until
the beginning of September.

Lilbits says: - I'm willing to be part of the committee as i did have words to the council about this about 1 1/2 years ago but the guy i was dealing with left - it all became a little to hard for one person - so yes a committee is the answer!
Re: A word from our Community Constable
I think a good idea would be for Hermion Kok , who is trying to do a good job, to move to Greenhithe and have the skateboard park built next to her house. Don't scoff I am being serious. I would be willing to contribute to the cost of her house. Come on if we all bunged in a grand it could happen. I'm sure Hermion would be happy as would the skateboarders. yeah right!
Just as a matter of interest how many skateboarders are there????????????????
I saw a couple in the summer but since then . Zilch.
Come on let's get real

I quite like fly fishing. Can the pond in Te Wharau be cleaned out and a few Rainbow thrown in. I promise I will not throw beer bottles in or take drugs whilst casting. Be cheaper than a skatepark and the local teens might enjoy it.
