At the most recent Ratepayers Assoc meeting,we agreed that a skatepark subcommittee be established. If anyone is interested in being part of this working group to fully research the subject (pros, cons, location, funding, experience elsewhere, etc) then please let me know (info@greenhithe.org.nz).

Other subcommittees are:

• Pre-school education (to get more kindy space)
• Whenuapai (to oppose the airport)
• Village plan (to promote a village plan and respond to planning submissions)
• Community Hall (to manage the hall)

The Association believes in informed decision making. As a democratically elected committee, we will do proper research. Of course, community opinion is important too. However, note in the poll on the left that more than 50% support a skate park at the time of writing.
