I think the skate park is a great idea for our kids. Why don't we get them involved in the planning of it (design, funding, location etc) AND the building of it. I think everyone will be pleasantly surprised by how many will be willing to get involved. If the kids have a say and participate in building it, then they WILL respect it and I guarantee they will even 'protect it' from any vandalism/damage from 'outsiders'. Hey, even get them to even paint/spray paint it in their graffiti/mural style and that will hopefully stop tagging etc and for generations to come they can go back and say 'I did that'!. What does everyone else think??

this is a brilliant idea....im a sponserd skater and would be happy to help out in the design of a great skatepark

i wolud will be happy to help as well.but the idea of paniting it is pretty dumb like a devonport skate park they painted it and its never drys up and is slipery.they need to bulid a good sized park not like the ones at medowood and hooten park in albanly they are a waste of money you need to build one that you can spend all day there and it would be good to have a alot of diffrent ramps and rails
