Funding a skatepark

Given that land isn't free, it costs a few hundy to build and needs to be maintained, how would it be paid for? Who would push this through and organise funding and upkeep?

well if u think about it.... if teens r off the streets and not vandalsing.....the money that would usually go towards cleaning graffiti, picking up alcohol bottles and whatnot.....would build up to fund the skatepark?

Maybe approach the local council to see if there is any funding for this sort of thing?? Otherwise, it could be fundraised for within G'hithe, maybe even rally together some locals to build it, possibly approach the skateshop people for advertising/sponsorship. There is plenty of area at the Collins Park or Wainoni Park (chrchse) to locate it.
