Things you can do when logged in

It's better to register (or "join" in the blue toolbar at the top right). You can join under a pseudonym and essentially stay anonymous anyway.

If you are registered you can:

  • Get better editing facilities. You can use bold, italics, bulleted lists, indents, tables.
  • Allow people to contact you by email. You can then choose whether to reply (and blow your cover!) or not.
  • Use the 'undo' feature. If you are logged in, you can undo anything you have just done.
  • Upload images or other items into your member folder, then link to them or embed them in your post. That is what I did in this discussion.
  • Progress towards publishing anything else. You can use the classifieds, publish news items, manage a sports team, publish a blog, have a picture gallery, ... anything really.

Have fun, and ask

if you want to know anything.

Enjoy,

Barry

I have changed things slightly again - if you are anonymous, you no longer get a 'reply to this' button. The reason is that as an anonymous poster, you can't go back and edit a post and it was tending to get a bit garbled when people replied to posts. It is better to simply create a new post and quote the previous one if necessary (and it seldom is).

Logged in users still get the 'reply to this' button and can edit their own posts.
